As a Senior Denim Designer you will bring a deep understanding of denim innovation, wash development, fit architecture, and market trends. You’ll collaborate across Creative, Merchandising, Technical Design, Production, and external vendors to create product that embodies our brand DNA and exceeds customer expectations. You will be responsible for driving the seasonal design process from concept through preproduction, ensuring each style is trendright, commercially viable, and delivered on time. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Seasonal Concept & Trend Development Research and identify trend direction in women’s premium denim, including silhouettes, washes, treatments, fabrications, and market shifts. Create elevated, fashionforward concepts aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and the luxuryinspired denim market. Build seasonal mood boards, color stories, and wash direction for internal and external presentations. Collaborate with the Creative Director to define seasonal denim narratives. Design & Product Creation Design and develop full denim assortments (jeans, jackets, skirts, shorts, and related categories) from initial concept through preproduction. Create detailed technical sketches in Illustrator and initiate specification sheets as the first step in the crossfunctional workflow. Partner with Technical Design on prototype reviews, fit sessions, grading, and product adjustments. Own execution of showroom samples and work with wash houses/mills to achieve targeted washes and finishes. Ensure all designs balance creativity, quality, and cost—supporting margin requirements and line architecture. Maintain the denim fabric, wash, and trim libraries; partner with suppliers to source new fabrics, hardware, and innovation. CrossFunctional Collaboration Work closely with Production and vendors to achieve price, lead time, and quality goals. Collaborate with Merchandising to ensure line sheets and assortments are accurate and aligned with seasonal line plans. Maintain strong vendor relationships to drive product feasibility, sample execution, and ontime development. Manage all design boards, digital archives, and PLM entries to ensure the accuracy and organization of the design pipeline. Calendar & Process Management Ensure timely execution of all design deliverables against the T&A calendar. Manage workflow for denim development, ensuring samples, tech packs, and revisions meet key milestones. Prepare and present seasonal collections for leadership, sales, and showroom meetings. Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field. 7-10 years of experience specifically in denim design, ideally within premium or contemporary markets. Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising; strong ability to sketch Extensive knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim; familiarity with print design and manufacturing Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD and Mac computers In return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401 (k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
