Overview
The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center seeks a qualified physician (M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) to serve as Medical Laboratory Director. The role leads clinical laboratory operations, participates in hospital committees, and supports resident and medical school teaching.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of laboratory clinical operations.
- Active participation in hospital committees.
- Resident and medical school teaching.
- Engagement in translational or clinical research as aligned with training and academic interest.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- Board certified in Clinical Pathology (CP) or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
- Demonstrated expertise in laboratory management.
- Desirable experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine; other AP/CP subspecialty training also valued.
- Eligibility to obtain or possession of New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship.
- Academic appointment to Albert Einstein College of Medicine commensurate with credentials and experience.
Benefits
Competitive salary in the range of $250,000–$375,000, dependent on experience, including prior leadership roles. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
