GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Marketing & Digital Media Specialist supports the promotion and visibility of CCAPE's workforce and continuing education programs through creative content development, social media engagement, photography, videography, and collaboration with the College's Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing. This position plays a key role in telling the story of CCAPE's students, instructors, partners, and programs across digital and print platforms, supporting enrollment, community awareness, and employer engagement.
The ideal candidate is a creative, self-directed professional with strong skills in social media strategy, content creation, visual storytelling, and marketing communications, who is comfortable working in both on-site and virtual environments.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Develop, schedule, and manage CCAPE social media content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including posts, stories, reels, and short-form video. Create engaging visual and written content to spotlight CCAPE programs, students, instructors, employer partners, events, and workforce initiatives. Capture high-quality photos and videos at classes, labs, events, graduations, site visits, and community activities. Edit and produce short-form promotional videos, reels, and graphics for digital marketing and web use. Engage with audiences by monitoring comments, messages, and trends, and supporting timely responses in coordination with CCAPE leadership and College marketing. Collaborate with the College's Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing on the development of brochures, flyers, class handouts, and other promotional materials. Design and update program flyers, social media graphics, and basic marketing collateral in alignment with College branding standards. Develop and execute content for newsletters, email marketing campaigns, website updates, and special initiatives, including drafting, designing, and scheduling email communications. Maintain an organized digital asset library of photos, videos, and marketing materials. Provide creative input on campaign ideas, storytelling approaches, and visual themes that reflect CCAPE's mission, workforce impact, and community partnerships.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Demonstrated experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or communications. Strong skills in photography and video capture using professional or high-quality mobile equipment. Experience with basic video editing, graphic design tools, and email marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Constant Contact, Salesforce, or similar platforms). Excellent written communication skills and ability to craft engaging, audience-appropriate messaging. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, program managers, instructors, and leadership. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Comfort working in a fast-paced, community-based, higher education or workforce development environment. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in higher education, workforce development, nonprofit, or community-based marketing. Familiarity with social media and email analytics. Experience developing branded marketing materials in collaboration with institutional marketing departments. Knowledge of storytelling for education, career pathways, and community impact.
