Overview
Wasatch Peaks Credit Union is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator who is passionate about education, financial literacy, and building meaningful relationships in the communities we serve. This role is focused on partnering with K–12 schools across an assigned region, delivering education-based programming, and serving as a trusted, consistent point of contact for educators and school partners. What You'll Do
Build & Maintain School Partnerships: serve as the primary point of contact for assigned K–12 schools; build strong, ongoing relationships with educators and school administrators; schedule and participate in classroom presentations, booths, mock interviews, career days, and school events; attend school activities such as back-to-school nights, conferences, and other assigned events; ensure consistent communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.
Deliver Financial Education Programs: support the adoption and implementation of Wasatch Peaks' sponsored financial literacy program; coordinate teacher onboarding, training, and classroom support; prepare and deliver engaging financial education presentations and activities; track participation, student engagement, and educator feedback.
Coordinate Events & Volunteers: coordinate Wasatch Peaks employee volunteers for school and career-related events; prepare materials, presentations, and branded swag while maintaining brand standards; represent Wasatch Peaks professionally at all assigned school and community events; assist with reporting on program participation and impact.
Seasonal & Team Support: support summer community events, parades, and outreach initiatives; assist with preparation for the upcoming school year and back-to-school events; collaborate with the Marketing team on community-focused campaigns; support additional community events as needed.

Requirements Experience and Education
1–3 years of related experience in community engagement, education, marketing, communications, or a similar field
High School Diploma or GED required
Coursework toward or enrollment in a degree or technical certification in marketing, communications, public relations, community relations, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience)
Skills And Qualities
Outgoing, personable, and confident communicator
Comfortable presenting to classrooms and community groups
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple schools and schedules
Proactive self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
Passionate about education, financial literacy, and community involvement
Physical & Work Requirements
Regular travel to schools and community events throughout Northern Utah
Ability to stand, walk, and assist with event setup and breakdown
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (tables, chairs, canopies, materials)
Valid driver's license required
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments
