Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, blocking, trim, doors, cabinetry, and punch work
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work
Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately and efficiently
Ensure all work meets company quality standards, local building codes, and safety requirements
Project & Jobsite Responsibilities
Coordinate work with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades on site
Identify potential issues with plans, materials, or site conditions and communicate proactively
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
Protect completed work and client property throughout the project lifecycle
Quality & Professionalism
Execute work with attention to detail and consistency
Complete tasks on schedule without sacrificing quality
Represent Touchstone Group Construction professionally with clients, inspectors, and partners
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Minimum
5 years of hands‑on carpentry experience
in residential or commercial construction
Proficiency with common carpentry tools and equipment
Strong understanding of framing, finish carpentry, and general construction methods
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and written scopes of work
Reliable transportation to job sites
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
Experience on multi‑trade or occupied job sites
Familiarity with remodeling, tenant improvement, or high‑end residential work
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem‑solving skills and job‑site awareness
Lead or supervisory experience is a plus
