Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our immigration law firm on a full-time, in-office basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one (1) full year of hands-on experience handling immigration appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and Federal Courts. This role is not entry-level and requires direct appellate immigration experience in a law firm environment. No remote or hybrid work is available.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, file, and manage immigration appeals before the BIA and Federal Courts.
Draft appellate briefs, motions, and supporting documents.
Track and manage EOIR, BIA, and Federal Court deadlines.
Conduct legal research related to immigration appellate law.
Maintain accurate and well-organized immigration case files.
Coordinate closely with attorneys on federal litigation and appeals.
Communicate with courts, government agencies, and internal staff as required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum one (1) full year of experience handling BIA appeals and Federal Court immigration appeals.
Experience must be within an immigration law firm.
Strong knowledge of immigration appellate procedures and filing requirements.
Excellent written communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to commute daily to Brooklyn or Manhattan.
Availability to work full-time on a long-term basis. This position requires full-time availability. Current students or candidates with upcoming exams should not apply.
Compensation & Benefits
$80,000.00 - $100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
10 paid sick days per year.
10 paid vacation days per year.
