Founding Business Development Representative Location:

San Francisco, CA (Hybrid — 4 days/week in office)

$90-120k OTE + equity + great benefits

About the Role Private events and catering represent a major revenue opportunity for restaurants and event venues, yet many still rely on outdated, manual processes. This role joins an early-stage team building modern, accessible software that helps local venues compete with large chains, with a longer-term vision to expand into a broader event services marketplace.

As a

Founding Business Development Representative , you will play a critical role in driving outbound sales and helping establish the foundation of the BDR function. You’ll focus on prospecting, generating high‑quality leads, and working closely with sales leadership to scale outbound motion in a fast‑growing startup environment.

This is a

hybrid role , with

4 days per week in the San Francisco office .

Responsibilities

Execute and evolve an existing outbound sales playbook, helping build a scalable BDR function.

Create targeted prospect lists and develop thoughtful outbound strategies.

Optimize outreach through scripting, sequencing, and A/B testing of messaging.

Partner closely with Account Executives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline.

Work directly with senior leadership, including the CEO and Sales leadership, to launch and refine the BDR function.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to ensure alignment.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).

Adapt quickly and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced startup environment.

Requirements

1+ year of outbound sales experience (BDR, SDR, or similar), ideally selling to SMBs and/or the hospitality industry.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and generate high‑quality leads.

Experience leveraging AI tools to improve prospecting, outreach, or productivity.

Proficiency with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and iterate quickly.

Nice to Have

Experience selling hospitality, restaurant, or venue‑focused technology.

Early‑stage startup experience or interest in building from the ground up.
