Foreman Telecom Underground (Foreman) – Dycom Industries Inc • Phoenix, AZ, United States Phoenix, AZ Workplace Type: Field Employment Type: Hourly Discover a more connected career At Ervin Cable Construction, as a Laborer Telecom Underground Team Lead (Foreman), you’ll participate in assisting the Traffic Control Flagger Supervisor with leading a team of flaggers, placing and moving flaggers around the assigned job site as needed to conduct flagging operations. Ensure all flaggers follow company guidelines, procedures, and safety protocols at all times. Must be able to follow MUSTD guidelines and procedures and demonstrate management skills. Be a mentor and coach to your team; you may conduct flagging operations yourself as needed to assist fellow team members.

What you’ll do
Direct and control the flow of traffic at construction sites, roadworks, and other areas requiring traffic management to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists. Clearly communicate with all team members and your supervisor; complete and approve a daily work shift. Perform traffic control and flagging activities in all weather conditions. Conduct other duties as assigned. Work 10 to 14 hours a day; be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Follow all safety policies and guidelines.
What you’ll need
18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Previous experience operating company trucks and vans (not required) Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record Pass a background check Must pass a drug screen Previous flagger certification
Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: Operate company vehicle with a camera, bend, stoop, stand, walk on pavement, sidewalks, uneven ground, and gravel. Occasionally: use keyboard, mouse, iPad, and cellphone.
