Please review the following job description: This client‑facing position provides operational support for Truist’s most sophisticated portfolio of agented syndicated deals as well as bilateral and participated deals across multiple business lines. The role serves as the primary operational point of contact across various internal and external business partners (Borrowers, Lenders, Internal and External Counsel, Credit Risk, Portfolio and Relationship Management Teams, etc.) for an assigned portfolio of clients. The incumbent ensures high‑quality service for all internal and external clients while managing the service delivery framework and associated risks within the supported portfolios for a large, complex banking organization. Supported portfolios include ASG, ABL, CIB, CCB, Dealer Finance, CRE, and Wealth products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide timely and accurate principal, interest, and fee invoices, often involving complex calculations and requiring intermediate to advanced accounting knowledge.
Process all loan and letter of credit activity for the assigned portfolio, including execution of payments (advances, principal, interest, fees, etc.).
Analyze and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively in accordance with bank and industry standards.
Serve as liaison between borrowers and lenders, balancing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Interact daily with internal and external clients, including frequent communication with executive‑level clients (CFOs, Treasury Directors, CEOs, etc.).
Apply product and system expertise and think creatively to address nuanced, non‑routine problems.
Partner with Portfolio Management for coordination and posting of financial and compliance documents to SyndTrak, and monitor/update any required changes to applicable margins.
Reconcile control reports and engage leadership daily on key risk indicators.
Generate reports and collate data for internal and external business partners to support amendment voting, borrower and lender audits, accrual/payment history, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
Extremely detail‑oriented with a proven track record of accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of complex lending systems such as AFS Vision, Loan IQ, SyndTrak, ClearPar, Loan IQ reporting tools, IBM Cognos, etc.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and operate successfully in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Ability to navigate and interpret complex legal documentation.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of work experience in a client‑facing role supporting syndicated loan operations.
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the syndicated loan market.
2+ years relevant work experience within Loan IQ.
Position location is open to office locations within Truist’s footprint. If located in a Truist hub city, the work style will be: In Office (5 days/week).
