Responsibilities The principal responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager is to actively engage in the sales and promotion of the Company's line of Injection Molding products in a designated territory.
Essential Duties
Work collaboratively with existing manufacturers' representatives in the assigned territory to achieve required activity level to meet sales targets.
Full sales-cycle experience (cold calling).
Daily, in-person, customer sales visits in the assigned territory.
Promote and sell injection molding machines by establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers of prospective customers.
Set and execute sales goals and strategies for the assigned territory.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and competitive analysis.
Maintain strong customer relationships by providing guidance, information, and insights.
Communicate product enhancements or new applications based on industry trends and customer needs to management.
Participate in sales policy development and pricing control in alignment with company standards.
Conduct periodic sales opportunity review meetings with sales representatives/agencies to drive new sales opportunities and machine orders.
Utilize CRM and CPQ software for efficient sales tracking and quoting.
Conduct periodic sales meetings, sales rep/agency reviews, and opportunity assessments.
Prepare and present sales forecasts (annual, quarterly, and monthly) and status reports.
Perform credit research and customer analysis as required.
Assist the accounts department in collections and payment follow-ups.
Collaborate with internal departments to support machine deliveries and customer service.
Actively engage in social media marketing through LinkedIn, X, Instagram and other platforms.
Encourage customer interaction with company marketing initiatives and online presence.
Any other duties and tasks, consistent with your abilities, which may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Five (5) years' experience in the plastic industry.
Proven experience in capital equipment sales; experience with injection molding machine sales is preferred.
Willingness to travel on short notice throughout the assigned territory with occasional international travel.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong customer service skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
Valid passport for travel to and from the U.S., and the willingness to do so;
Valid unrestricted driver's license with a driving record free of serious incidents, such as DUI's;
Sufficient credit or other financial resources to permit unrestricted domestic and international travel pending expense report reimbursement of legitimate business expenses.
Working Conditions Manufacturing conditions exist at a wide variety of customer sites. Employment is contingent upon compliance with the standards established by each facility, including drug testing, background checks, and health screenings. Up to 75-80% of work time will require travel to industrial sites throughout the territory, with occasional travel throughout the Americas and overseas.
