Role Description We're growing our presence in food service, hospitality, and specialty retail. We need a senior salesperson to lead that effort.
We're looking for an Account Executive who has experience building relationships in food service, hospitality, or specialty retail. You will be responsible for shaping our go-to-market: Your industry expertise directly informs how we position Catalist to food service and retail buyers.
You'll own sales for our wholesale verticals—restaurants, hotels, caterers, recreation centers, and independent retailers.
Build pipeline in food service, hospitality, and specialty retail through outbound prospecting, referrals, and trade shows
Run demos that show buyers how AI-powered procurement saves them time and surfaces the right products for their business
Close deals with independent restaurants, hotel procurement teams, caterers, ghost kitchens, and specialty retailers
Attend industry events strategically—NRA Show, IRCE, ASD Market Week
Provide market feedback that shapes how we position and sell to these verticals
This is our first dedicated hire for these verticals. You'll have significant input on strategy, not just execution.
Qualifications
2+ years of B2B sales experience in food service, hospitality, or specialty retail
Track record of exceeding $500K+ annual quotas
Experience selling consumer goods—kitchenware, tableware, housewares, sporting goods, or similar categories
Understanding of how these industries buy: trade shows, GPOs, distributor relationships, reps
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment
