Overview Join the only American public company exclusively focused on the commercial laundry distribution and service industry. ******** Our Client is a value-added distributor and industry leader, partnering with diverse customers to provide planning, design, and consulting services alongside our vast portfolio of premium equipment.
The Opportunity As an Area Sales Representative, you will work with a diverse range of customers across New Jersey to lease and/or sell specialized commercial laundry equipment while providing expert consulting services. You will develop and manage both new and existing accounts within vended (laundromats) and On-Premise Laundry (OPL) segments, including hotels, healthcare facilities, and government entities.
Key Responsibilities
Consultative Sales: Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions for washing, drying, finishing, and water reuse applications.
Full Sales Cycle: Manage the entire process from initial prospecting and site visits to finalizing installations and providing customer training.
Market Expansion: Execute results-oriented strategies to grow territory market share through cold-calling and relationship management.
Technical Advisory: Read and interpret technical specifications and architectural drawings to provide design and planning support.
Operational Liaison: Coordinate purchase orders, product shipments, and equipment installations to meet customer timelines.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of direct B2B sales experience; a background in industrial equipment, machinery, or construction sales is a major plus.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn the technical aspects of laundry systems and translate product features into ROI-based solutions.
Organization: Strong proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite to manage a high-volume sales pipeline.
Mobility: Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the assigned New Jersey territory daily.
