Job Description
Location: Cincinnati, OH. This role is based in Cincinnati and requires regular in-office collaboration. Flexibility allows associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including occasional remote work.
The Retail Activations Manager role leads our shopper and retail media programs at Kroger across brick & mortar and digital. They guide strategy for digital activations in the grocery channel. Integral to the Kroger customer team, critical to delivery of the sales plan; each activation aligns with customer team plans. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Search & Media, preferably within CPG
Knowledge of Media management (fundamentals/budget, YouTube/Meta/etc., Search, Agency Management)
3+ years experience owning programming with one or more of: Amazon Ads, Walmart Media Collective, or Kroger Precision Marketing
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of hands‑on‑keyboard experience building search and/or display media campaigns
2+ years experience in‑house/client‑side at a CPG vendor
3+ years serving in one of the following areas: a shopper/retail media role at a large CPG, a planning or execution role at a digital agency with retail media experience, or customer management at a large CPG vendor on Kroger or a pureplay eCommerce team will be considered in lieu of the above experience
Key Responsibilities
Own the day‑to‑day Kroger Precision Marketing relationship, including annual KPM JBP
Own the execution of retail media, shopper, and in‑store programs at Kroger, in partnership with the customer team. Hands‑to‑keyboard for campaign management
Own the day‑to‑day relationship with our agency of record
Work collaboratively alongside peers who do similar work on other customers, as well as cross‑functional partners in functions like finance and brand marketing
Coach and teach best practices to a range of sales associates with varying levels of knowledge on paid search, display media, and digital coupons
