Sr Manager, Product OwnerData ProductsInsulet is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Owner will lead a team of Product Owners responsible for delivering software-based products that improve the lives of people with diabetes. This role is focused on people's leadership, managing Product Owners across product lines, and ensuring strategic alignment and execution of product roadmaps and backlogs. This hybrid role is responsible for developing new data-driven customer facing software products and enhancing existing ones that collect, exchange, and display data, all in support of Insulet’s mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes. Sr.Manager, Product Owner drives high-impact product initiatives from concept through delivery, translating business goals into product roadmaps and backlog priorities. In addition to managing and mentoring a team of Product Owners, this leader coordinates with cross-functional teams with stakeholders across Product Management, UX, Regulatory, QA, Human Factors, Program Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, Senior leadership and external partners Key Responsibilities * Lead and Mentor Product Owners: Manage a team of Product Owners, providing guidance, professional development, and performance management. Ensure consistency and continuity across product backlogs and foster a high-performing, empowered team culture. Act as a talent leader by attracting and developing top product talent.* Cross-Team Coordination: Coordinate with multiple teams and functions, communicating roadmaps and release plans, and managing dependencies and priorities across the product ecosystem.* Continuous Improvement: Champion Agile best practices and continuous improvement, leveraging feedback and data-driven decision making to enhance team performance and product development processes.* Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for product status, risks, and needs, providing updates to leadership and representing Data Products in executive reviews.* Strategic Planning: Work with senior Product Management to define strategy and roadmap, contribute to business cases, and use analytics to prioritize high-value work.* Development Lifecycle Management: Guide to product development from requirements gathering through delivery, ensuring each product increment meets quality standards and user needs.* Agile Delivery Oversight: Collaborate with Scrum Masters to monitor sprint progress, remove blockers, and maintain predictable delivery timelines and outcomes.* Quality & Compliance: Ensure products meet quality, security, and regulatory standards, facilitating risk assessments and collaborating with QA and Regulatory teams.* Product Backlog Oversight: Oversee product backlogs across Agile teams to align with product vision and business objectives, partnering closely with Product Management for prioritization. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree and demonstrable work experience.* Experience in mobile apps, web applications, and cloud environments.* Experience with Software as a medical device a plus.* 10+ years of experience in product management and/or product owner roles in the software industry, with a track record of defining and delivering technology products through Agile methodologies.* 5+ years of direct people management experience (such as leading Product Owners or product development teams) in addition to project leadership. Talent development and team-building experience is highly valued.* Familiar with Software Development technologies and platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.Desired Skills and Competencies * Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills. Able to influence without direct authority in a matrix organization and drive teams toward a common goal. Courage to challenge and advise various stakeholders, including senior leaders.* Excellent communication skills to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.* Strong project management, prioritization, and analytical skills.
