About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Individual Giving to join its Development and Alumni Relations Division. The successful candidate will provide leadership, evaluation, and mentoring to the individual giving program, with a focus on maximizing philanthropic support. This role involves being the main point of contact with campus leadership to develop philanthropic and fundraising strategies, managing the participation of deans and other university leaders in philanthropy, and preparing them for prospect meetings and solicitations. The Associate Vice President will also be a senior member of the fundraising team, managing a portfolio of major and principal gifts prospects and overseeing the frontline fundraising operation.
The ideal candidate for this position at the company is a highly collaborative leader and strategic thinker with a proven track record in guiding development teams to meet and exceed fundraising goals. Experience in higher education, particularly with comprehensive and complex institutions, is highly preferred, as is experience with an academic medical center.
