About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of youth substance use prevention and education. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for youth, with a strong background in nonprofit management, particularly in the areas of fundraising, donor engagement, and grants management. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include serving as the chief spokesperson for the organization, building and maintaining relationships with the community, and collaborating with the Board of Directors on strategic planning. The role also involves overseeing the organization's daily operations, managing the annual budget, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in nonprofit management or a related field, or equivalent experience, and at least 5 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit or youth development sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of youth issues, a proven track record in fundraising, and strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Experience in youth-centered program design, outcomes measurement, and familiarity with substance use/abuse issues is a plus. The Executive Director will be responsible for managing grant projects, cultivating relationships with donors and partners, and providing regular updates to the Board and stakeholders. The position requires a flexible schedule, with occasional evenings and weekends for events, and some travel for meetings and conferences.
