The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and administering departments such as special education, school improvement, elementary education, and English learners. This role involves supervising and supporting district-wide initiatives related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment, as well as ensuring compliance with educational grants and pursuing new opportunities. The Executive Director will also be involved in budget selection, maintaining liaisons with educational leaders at different levels, and serving as a resource for curriculum and instructional practices.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree, an Administration and Supervision Certificate, and at least five years of combined teaching and administrative experience. The role requires a candidate who can provide leadership in curriculum development, professional development, and instructional technology, and who is adept at coordinating with various departments to meet the staffing and financial needs of instructional programs. The Executive Director will also be expected to communicate effectively with the community, advocate for the needs of curriculum and instruction, and ensure state compliance in all related matters. Additionally, the position involves serving as a liaison between staff, the community, and educational organizations, and may include other duties as assigned.
