About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the oversight and administration of the bank's loan portfolio, with a primary focus on monitoring and managing credit risk. This pivotal role involves establishing internal controls, developing written policies and procedures for extending credit, and ensuring that these effectively align with the company's goals. The Chief Credit Officer will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the credit risk management function, including the design, execution, and communication of credit policies, and maintaining a strong credit culture across various lending units.

Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, with additional training in lending, compliance, examination, or audit. A minimum of 10 years' experience in consumer, real estate, or commercial lending, preferably within a banking environment, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in credit risk analytics, the development of credit policies, underwriting standards, and internal risk rating scorecards. Extensive knowledge and experience in C&I and commercial real estate lending, as well as a strong background in credit risk management and the credit approval process, are essential. The role also demands expertise in loan structure and administration, business development, and a history of leadership and management in a financial institution.
