About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to join its Executive Management team. The CCO will be the key figure in maintaining the quality of the credit portfolio, ensuring it aligns with established policies and regulatory standards. This pivotal role involves the development and enforcement of internal controls, as well as the creation of written policies and procedures for extending credit to customers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the credit risk management function, including the design, execution, and communication of credit-related policies, and will be expected to develop strategies that contribute to the growth of the loan portfolio.

Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should be prepared to take on a wide range of responsibilities. These include overseeing credit underwriting, loan documentation, and the credit approval process, as well as maintaining the bank's credit culture across various lending units. The role also requires the formulation and approval of lending policies, and the management of the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance or a related field, with a preference for those with over ten years of experience in commercial, SBA, and consumer lending, underwriting, and credit administration. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to cross-sell the bank's products and services. The CCO will also be expected to represent the bank in various community and civic functions to enhance its image and develop business.
