About the Role

The Company is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Officer to join their advancement team. The successful candidate will be a senior member responsible for managing a portfolio of high-capacity prospects, including individuals, families, corporations, and foundations, with the potential to make significant philanthropic investments. This role is pivotal in leading the organization's principal gifts program, working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders to secure transformational support. The Strategic Partnerships Officer will be expected to demonstrate a deep commitment to the organization's mission and values, and to embody the core attributes of communication, accountability, flexibility, adaptability, judgment, problem-solving, and customer service.

Key responsibilities for the Strategic Partnerships Officer include portfolio management, program leadership, and team management. The role involves designing and executing customized strategies for each prospect, representing the organization at the highest level, and delivering on annual fundraising goals. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), at least 10 years' of progressive fundraising experience, and a proven track record of closing gifts at the $5M+ level. Supervisory experience is required, with a focus on mentoring and inspiring high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
