About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Project Management to play a pivotal role in the execution of its Capital Plan projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting a strategic and integrated approach to implementing facilities projects, working closely with the Associate Vice President for Capital Projects and other senior leaders. This role involves providing guidance to project and construction teams, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives, and actively participating in the strategic planning and execution of design and construction projects. The Executive Director will also be a key collaborator with academic and administrative leadership, as well as local, county, and state agencies, to support the Capital Plan and must embody the core values of the Facilities Organization.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 15 years' in managing capital design and construction projects. Essential qualifications include familiarity with construction contract law, broad knowledge of various building types, and experience in municipal approval processes. The role requires demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and previous experience in the higher education environment, construction industry, or real estate development. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing and mentoring project managers, maintaining partnerships with various facilities departments, and ensuring the successful and timely delivery of projects.
