AsaMid MarketSales Engineer II at Spectrum, youwillevaluate customer requirements, design cost-effective network solutions and present compelling technical proposals focused on Fiber Internet Access, Private Networking,Voiceand Cloud services. Yourexpertisewill help clients achieve their goals while supporting Spectrum's continued growth and innovation.
How YouWillMake an Impact Communicate with customers and sales teams to assess network environments, business needs and technical requirements, delivering strategic proposals and solutions Design complex voice and data network solutions, preparing network topologies and technical specifications for customer applications Prepare pre-sale conceptual designs, collaborating with Engineering and Operations for review,approvaland costing Compile project cost elements, work on solutionpricingandsubmitIRR analyses to Finance for approval Review and refine solutions for mid-market clients with 25-500 employees, ensuring proposals align with client needs Support Sales Engineer I with complex solutions, acting as a resource on technical projects and customer challenges Present technical proposals on SpectrumBusinessproducts and services, guiding customers through integration and implementation Serve as a liaison between customers, salesteamsand internal departments, conducting site surveys for successful installations Provide documentation and support to installation and project management teams, clarifying service expectations with diagrams,written materials, handling questions during installationand turn-up related to solution design and equipment operation Deliver technical training to Account Executives, Account Managers and Sales Support personnel, andassistwith developing and launching new products Maintain and expand knowledge of SpectrumBusinessproducts, industrytrendsand emerging technologies Working Conditions Officeenvironment Travel Required
What You Will Bring to Spectrum
RequiredQualifications
Education High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited organization (GED) Skills Read, write,speakand understand English Work closely with sales executives and proven knowledge of the sales cycle Knowledge of Metro Ethernet technologies (EPL, EVPL, ELAN), LANs, WANs, email, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls,VPNsand data security methods Sales skills in presentation and proposal design Understanding of networking technologies: TCP/IP, IP VPN, MPLS, VPLS, Ethernet, VoIP, SONET, DWDM Familiarity with networking fundamentals: routers, switches, LAN, MAN, WAN, DS3, OC-x, CSU/DSU and CPE Consultative approach with strong knowledge of converged multimedia applications Experience with voice networking including VoIP, signaling protocols,PBX,androutingprotocols: BGP, ISIS, OSPF, RIP and emerging technologies Understanding of business drivers, industrytrendsand regulatory shifts in targeted vertical markets Proficiencywith MS Visio, Word, Excel,PowerPointand MS Project Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record and auto insurance coverage PreferredQualifications
Education Bachelor's degree with a concentration in IT or telecommunications engineering technology, or equivalent training and experience Experience 5+ years of sales engineering and networking experience in the telecom or service provider industry Skills CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, MEF-CECP certifications preferred
