
Account Executive

Maximum Quality Foods, Inc. is an independent, family-owned foodservice distributor based in Linden, NJ. For over 46 years, we have proudly served customers throughout New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and parts of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. The Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for incremental growth. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, increasing sales volume across product categories, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent service, product knowledge, and account development. This position supports the Company's sales and profitability goals through professional account management, consultative selling, and collaboration with internal teams. The Account Executive reports directly to the Director of Sales. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage and grow assigned existing customer accounts within a designated territory Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding products, pricing, service, and promotions Develop account-specific strategies to increase sales volume, product mix, and profitability Maintain strong relationships with customer decision-makers through regular phone and in-person visits Identify opportunities to introduce new products, seasonal items, and additional product categories Provide customers with pricing information, product details, and market updates Respond promptly to customer inquiries and follow up on requests, issues, and feedback Travel to customer locations as needed to conduct account reviews and business development meetings Maintain accurate, organized account records and sales forecasts Complete and submit weekly sales reports detailing account activity, opportunities, wins, and losses Collect and communicate competitive market information to management Partner with operations, customer service, and management to ensure consistent service and issue resolution Represent the Company in a professional manner and maintain a positive company image at all times Perform other duties as assigned by management Competencies: Customer Service and Relationship Management Strong Communication and Presentation Skills Organization and Attention to Detail Time and Territory Management Professionalism Negotiation and Closing Skills Sales Analytics and Math Skills Account Growth and Retention Work Environment: Outside sales environment with regular travel to customer locations Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prior sales or account management experience in food distribution Knowledge of paper goods, dry goods, refrigerated, and frozen food products Familiarity with restaurant accounts Benefits: Health Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k)
