Job Description
This is what you will do:
The Associate Director, R&D Resource & Capacity Management, is a key role at the intersection of several functions. The successful candidate's key responsibility will be to lead the resource capacity planning process, an essential component for the Long-Range Plan, R&D prioritization, and Annual Operating Process. Partners with R&D functional representatives to develop and improve resourcing algorithms, providing expertise to ensure these accurately represent resource demand for the R&D portfolio. Partners with the R&D functions to execute the resource planning process for R&D. Partners with PMO and Portfolio Management Leads to drive an Integrated R&D Portfolio Operations Model and supports the team with the design, development, and implementation of data analytics driven reports.
Responsibilities:
Create, document, and maintain algorithms to translate project schedules into resource demand over time. Support the resource planning process and related systems. Offer guidance, templates, and expert support for all stakeholders using resource planning tools. Assist in integrated business planning by providing R&D resource needs aligned with key programs and departmental plans. Develop reports to effectively enhance decision-making on resources. You will need to have:
8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with hands-on, comprehensive knowledge about resource capacity management. Bachelor's in science or business Proficiency in Excel with experience using Planisware. Strong analytical skills with proven ability to perform complex data analyses to support resourcing decisions. Past exposure and understanding of modeling and forecasting of portfolio execution and corresponding resource demand. Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships to successfully operate in a highly matrix-based organization while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated experience with advanced analytical tools/models and decision support platforms, i.e., PowerBI. Understanding of program, portfolio, and financial management practices. Solution based, creative thinker with strong communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into key insights and communicate in simple, easy to understand presentations. Detail oriented and independently motivated. We would prefer for you to have:
MBA/M.S./M.A., or equivalent level of experience
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $136,514 to $204,771. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
