divh2Registered Nurse Informaticist/h2pTownsen Memorial is hiring for a full-time Registered Nurse Informaticist role in our new Houston TX (77072) location. The Registered Nurse Informaticist is responsible for serving as the vital link between clinical care and healthcare technology. This role oversees the development, implementation, optimization, and evaluation of clinical information systems to enhance patient outcomes, streamline workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance./ppEssential Functions:/pulliPartner with clinical and IT teams to optimize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other health technologies/liliLead or support system implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects aligned with clinical workflows/liliProvide training and ongoing support to clinical staff on health information systems/liliAnalyze clinical data to drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives/liliAct as a liaison among nursing staff, providers, IT, and administrative departments/liliConduct testing and validation of clinical systems and software upgrades/liliDevelop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for clinical system usage/liliEnsure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, CMS, CHIQ, and Meaningful Use/liliMonitor user feedback and system performance to identify and recommend improvements/liliCollaborate on the design and customization of clinical decision support tools (e.g., alerts, order sets, protocols)/liliContribute to change management strategies and stakeholder engagement during system transitions/liliSupport data governance initiatives and ensure integrity and standardization of clinical documentation/liliAssist in research projects or grant initiatives involving clinical data or health IT systems/li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliIn-depth knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and clinical documentation standards/liliStrong understanding of clinical workflows and hospital operations across care settings/liliKnowledge of healthcare regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission)/liliProficiency in interpreting clinical data and applying health information standards (HL7, FHIR, SNOMED, LOINC)/liliStrong clinical reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with attention to detail/liliExcellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills including teaching and coaching abilities/liliStrong organization, multitasking, time management, and teamwork skills/liliFlexibility, adaptability, and resilience in dynamic healthcare environments/li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliBachelor of Science in Nursing/liliRegistered Nurse in the State of Texas/liliThree (3) years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting/liliTwo (2) years of nursing informatics experience including involvement in EHR system implementation, optimization, or clinical data analysis/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) certified or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/li/ulpBenefits Offered:/pulli3 Medical Plans/lili2 Dental Plans/lili1 Vision Plan/liliEmployee Assistance Program/liliShort and Long-Term Disability Insurance/liliBasic and Voluntary Life with ADD Plan/lili401(k) with a 2-year vesting/liliPTO + Holidays/li/ul/div
