Overview
Manage a Foundation Programme and oversee the education and training of approximately 30 residents at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley. This is a replacement post with preference for local clinicians in the West of Scotland. Requires Recognition of Trainer status and an agreement on a Service Level Agreement within the applicant's current job plan.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Foundation Programme and oversee residents’ education and training.
- Contribute to the formal Foundation teaching programme in partnership with existing FPDs.
- Act as an educational and/or clinical supervisor as required.
- Attend the office for pre‑employment checks before the start date.
Qualifications
- Consultant, GP or SAS doctor based in the West Region of Scotland.
- Currently in a substantive NHS or University post.
- Recognition of Trainer status.
- Support a Service Level Agreement for the role within their job plan.
- Right to work in the UK or eligibility for sponsorship.
