Responsibilities Use effective lesson delivery techniques to provide instruction to students and facilitate classroom discussions in subjects including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, etc.
Collaborate with the general education teacher to suggest modifications and/or accommodations to the lesson plan; implement through team teaching, co-teaching (small group or whole class); assess overall student progress.
Provide one-on-one or small group support for students, assist with academic tasks, behavior management, and social skills development.
Complete reports on attendance, student progress, and other documentation as required by the administrative team.
Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school-related events.
Provide instructional support to students with special needs, ensuring they have the accommodations and modifications necessary for success.
Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student needs, progress, and concerns.
Develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with all students and staff.
Qualifications Associates Degree, minimum 60 credit hours, or Paraprofessional Certification.
Minimum of 6 months experience working with children.
Experience in autism and in a multicultural setting serving youth.
