Job Summary
The Commercial Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager position offers a developing lender the opportunity to work closely with a high-performing, experienced lender in the greater Springfield, MO area. The Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager will assist in managing existing customers and loan relationships, including draws, overdrafts, and past-due accounts, while also gaining experience originating and managing new loans. In this role, the Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager will serve as a guide for borrowers throughout the commercial loan process, from preparing loan applications through closing. As a representative of OMB, the Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager is expected to engage with the community and identify potential clients who may benefit from commercial lending opportunities. The Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager must demonstrate and apply a working knowledge of commercial loan structuring and funding options. Officers work directly with lending support staff throughout the lending cycle to ensure an outstanding customer experience. With a focus on relationship banking, Loan Officers are expected to identify and cross-sell additional bank products and services that benefit customers. Loan Officers must obtain and maintain licensing through applicable state and national authorities. Compensation includes a base salary plus production incentive, with performance evaluated in part on annual portfolio management and growth requirements. Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration preferred Two plus years of prior experience of commercial banking or lending account management required Required Skills
Excellent customer service and strong communication skills Strong mathematical, problem-solving and computer skills Basic knowledge of banking operations, documentation, policy and procedures Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory banking and finance compliance requirements.
