Our client seeks a

Fire Sprinkler Designer RME-G

to support continued growth. The successful candidate will hold a Texas RME-G license and demonstrate motivation and attention to detail. Responsibilities include producing accurate CAD drawings to ensure proper layout and installation of fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in fire protection design, hydraulic calculations, and code compliance, and will support projects from concept to completion. This role works closely with engineers and field staff to prepare design drawings, material lists, and surveys for new and existing systems. The successful candidate will be collaborative, committed to quality, and proactive in learning industry standards and best practices in fire protection design. Responsibilities

Interpret construction documents, specifications, and codes to design compliant fire sprinkler systems. Review and approve design documents and shop drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability. Apply NFPA standards and local building regulations to ensure safety, efficiency, and system performance. Develop detailed sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms, coordinating with other building trades. Demonstrate proficiency with hydraulic calculation software and FM Global standards. Perform hydraulic calculations and generate material lists to support fabrication and installation. Prepare and submit design drawings and documentation for permitting, fabrication, and construction. Conduct site surveys and field verifications to confirm design accuracy and resolve installation challenges. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and field teams to meet deadlines and budget goals. Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure timely material delivery and support efficient project execution. Maintain organized project records and documentation throughout all phases of design and construction. Communicate with field personnel to address on-site adjustments and design clarifications. Mentor and support junior designers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Assist sales teams with design input and technical estimates for new projects. Work independently with attention to detail, delivering code-compliant designs on schedule. NICET Level III certification is highly preferred. Required Qualifications

RME-G is required. Associate's degree

in technical drafting, engineering, or fire protection. High school diploma required. 5-7 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, layout, or hydraulic calculations. NICET Level II is required Strong knowledge of NFPA and related codes and standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD, or similar fire sprinkler design software. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Solid math skills, including geometry and algebra. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with strong time management and collaboration skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites.
