The Payments Product Manager is pivotal in providing the direction and end to end management of the Payments products, specifically the Clearing Product proposition, with responsibility for defining and implementing the Clearing Product business strategy, understanding the risks associated with the product, development of new products and commercialization of these products. The role requires a deep understanding of Financial Institution wire payments and payment rails including cross border/cross currency solutions. Understanding of client challenges/opportunities and industry trends will be required as inputs into the Payments strategic product roadmap and commercialization strategy. Responsibilities include: Strategic Product Leadership & P&L Management:
Assume full P&L ownership for the assigned Payments product portfolio, meticulously managing revenue generation, expense optimization, and overall financial performance to achieve strategic business objectives. Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring product profitability and sustainable growth. Drive the strategic direction and end-to-end management of the Payments products, specifically the Clearing Product proposition, with responsibility for defining and implementing the business strategy. Understand and mitigate the risks associated with the product, ensuring compliance and sound financial practices.
End-to-End Product Ownership & Development:
Lead large-scale payment transformation projects, overseeing all phases from concept ideation, through development, launch, and post-launch optimization. Demonstrate a strong record of delivering complex, multi-month payment programs to completion, ensuring high quality and alignment with strategic goals. Champion the development of new products and features, from conceptualization to market readiness, ensuring they meet client needs and market demands.
Market Insight & Product Roadmap Management:
Proactively identify and analyze gaps in the market, emerging industry trends, and evolving client demands within the transaction banking and payments landscape. Translate these insights into a compelling and prioritized product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and long-term vision. Engage deeply with clients, sales teams, and market intelligence to gather requirements, validate concepts, and continuously refine product offerings.
Commercialization Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute robust commercialization strategies that encompass pricing models, market penetration tactics, and competitive positioning to maximize product adoption and revenue. Define Product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, optimize product performance, and demonstrate tangible business value. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive client adoption and market share. Engage clients and partners for feedback, continuously refining product offerings and roadmaps based on market response and performance data.
Leadership & Vision:
Serve as architect, operator, and evangelist for payments products, articulating a clear vision and inspiring teams towards common goals. Build strong, influential relationships with technical and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment and successful execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience in payments related role 2+ years’ experience as a payments product manager, with a strong focus on strategic product lifecycle management. Demonstrated ability to define, strategize, and launch payment products, leveraging various payment rails (e.g., CHIPS, Fedwire, Target2) to meet market demands and business objectives. Demonstrable ability to partner with operations and engineering teams to deliver best in class solutions Experience of end-to-end product ownership from ideation to commercialization, working in a diverse global team driving rapid team and product growth Comfortable in client-facing situations partnering with Sales teams with the ability to understand and articulate customer needs and turn requirements into actionable solutions Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end. Benefits
