Overview Content and Social Media Senior Specialist - Hybrid NYC, 85k-110k

This position works closely with attorneys, marketing leadership, and business development teams to translate complex legal work into clear, compelling content that builds visibility, credibility, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Social Media Leadership

Lead the firm’s social media presence across LinkedIn and Instagram, developing creative campaigns and content aligned with firm priorities.

Monitor platform performance, trends, and audience engagement, and adapt content strategy accordingly.

Prepare and deliver monthly social media performance reports, including growth, engagement, reach, and campaign effectiveness.

Provide guidance and training to attorneys on LinkedIn profiles, content strategy, and best practices.

Content Creation and Editorial Management

Create and edit high quality written and visual content, including social posts, articles, client alerts, invitations, presentations, and marketing collateral.

Serve in a journalistic capacity by interviewing attorneys and subject matter experts and translating complex legal concepts into accessible content.

Manage the development of external digital and print materials, including web pages, practice descriptions, lawyer bios, fact sheets, and newsletters.

Ensure all content aligns with firm style guidelines and make thoughtful recommendations to enhance clarity, consistency, and impact.

Design, Visual Assets, and Presentation Support

Design and produce marketing assets, including digital ads, event invitations, newsletter layouts, and magazine advertisements.

Edit and enhance PowerPoint presentations and Excel tables to ensure clarity, visual consistency, and executive level polish.

Video and Multimedia Production

Plan, record, and edit video content for social media and digital channels, including attorney interviews, event highlights, and short form video.

Handle video editing, sound correction, and postproduction to produce polished, platform appropriate content.

CMS, Digital Platforms, and Reporting

Manage and update website content using content management systems such as WordPress, Sitecore, Drupal, or similar platforms.

Support the creation and distribution of newsletters and client communications through email marketing tools.

Track and report on content and campaign performance, using data to inform future strategy.

Qualifications Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

Minimum of five years of experience in content creation, social media, or communications, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.

Graphic design experience, including ad creation, invitations, newsletters, presentations, and marketing collateral.

Proven proficiency with Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and related design and video tools, with additional experience in platforms such as Figma, Affinity, Procreate, Adobe Fresco, and Sketchbook.

Required portfolio demonstrating content creation across social media, digital campaigns, written content, and visual assets.

Proven ability to demonstrate performance metrics tied to content and social media efforts.

Experience with CMS platforms and social media scheduling and analytics tools.

Skills & Attributes

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a high level of attention to tone, clarity, and detail.

Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for presentation and data visualization.

Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
