Your Mission Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a
Social Media Manager
to guide Hearthstone’s global social presence through thoughtful coordination, cross functional integration, and stakeholder management. This role plays a critical role in bringing our brand to life for our players, aligning internal stakeholders around best in class social activations tied to brand and product campaigns, partnering closely with community and influencer teams to ensure strategic continuity and franchise integration.
Key Responsibilities
Be a Hearthstone Expert:
Liaise with other departments to support content releases. Partner with internal stakeholders to align on brand, product, and campaign priorities that inform social media planning to blend the stories of each expansion to life whilst helping support commercial objectives.
Global Channel Ownership:
Oversee the operation of our social channels, driving Hearthstone’s social strategy across X, Bluesky, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitch.
Develop and Execute Social Engagement Strategies:
Craft and implement effective, measurable social strategies and tactics for Hearthstone, guiding players through pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases. Your work will directly influence the game's visibility and engagement across diverse audiences.
Player Interaction:
Monitor social sentiment on game posts and manage real-time responses with players to boost engagement.
Brand Guardian on Social Platforms:
Ensure social media programming reflects the Hearthstone brand voice, franchise goals, and campaign timelines.
Analytical Focus:
Leverage analytics tools to measure campaign performance, identify opportunities, and inform future strategies.
Stay Trend and Culturally-Savvy:
Maintain visibility and understanding of new and ongoing trends and platforms within the social environment. Your insights will keep Hearthstone at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather timely inputs that support content planning and campaign activations bringing expert strategic insight to real time decision making. Provide social media input in marketing project and expansion retrospectives.
Requirements
Blizzard and Category Knowledge:
Keen understanding of Trading Card Games as well as product knowledge of Hearthstone and Warcraft.
Experience:
8+ years' experience in Social Media Management, demonstrating measurable impact.
Project Management:
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strategic and creative thinking.
Communication Skills:
Experience working with developers and communicating complex concepts in a player-friendly manner.
Detail-Oriented:
Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks under shifting requirements and deadlines.
Team Player:
Strong ability to balance and blend the needs of various departments and team members into effective strategies.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Critical Thinking:
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate challenges with clarity and a focus on resolution.
Passion for Gaming:
A passion for gaming on PC and mobile.
Industry Knowledge:
Awareness of mobile gaming behavioral trends and familiarity with Sprinklr, Tableau and project management tools such as Monday.com.
