Our client is a well-established North American distributor with decades of experience in rigid packaging solutions. Serving industries such as food and beverage, health and wellness, nutraceuticals, and personal care, the organization combines deep product expertise with a growing regional footprint. Recent strategic investments are driving modernization, accountability, and long-term expansion across the U.S. market. About the Role This is a full-cycle outside sales role focused primarily on net-new business development across the Pacific Northwest. The Account Executive will inherit a modest book of business (approximately $1M in annual revenue) to maintain, while spending the majority of their time prospecting, developing territory, and closing new accounts. You’ll be supported by a dedicated Sales Coordinator handling order processing and administrative work, allowing you to stay focused on selling and relationship-building. Key Responsibilities Drive new business acquisition across food, beverage, health, and consumer goods markets Prospect aggressively through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn research, and in-person visits Manage and grow a small existing customer portfolio (10–12 accounts) Own the full sales cycle from first contact through post-sale relationship management Conduct on-site meetings, product demos, and occasional trade show participation Collaborate with customer service, purchasing, and supply chain teams Track activity, opportunities, and performance metrics within the CRM Must-Have Requirements Proven ability to generate net-new B2B revenue in an outside sales environment Experience owning a territory and building pipeline through outbound prospecting Ability to clearly articulate sales metrics (revenue growth, quotas, accounts closed) Comfort operating independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders Portland, OR–based (or immediate surrounding area) Nice-to-Have Requirements Background in packaging, industrial, or tangible product sales Experience selling into food & beverage or CPG environments Prior roles at companies such as Berlin Packaging, TricorBraun, Cintas, Fastenal, or Grainger Experience working with procurement or supply chain stakeholders What Success Looks Like Consistently generating new qualified opportunities across the territory Growing total revenue beyond the inherited book within the first year Building repeat, relationship-driven customers with long-term value Accurately forecasting and managing pipeline activity Earning trust as a self-directed, accountable contributor Compensation & Benefits Snapshot On-Target Earnings: $85,000–$115,000 in Year 1, and more in year 2 Incentives: Monthly commissions + annual bonus opportunity Retirement: 401(k) with company match PTO: Vacation days and paid holidays Work Model: Hybrid outside sales role with significant field activity Skills & Keywords B2B Outside Sales, New Business Development, Territory Sales, Packaging Solutions, CPG Sales, Prospecting, Account Management, Field Sales, CRM, Pipeline Management
