The Regional Head of Commercial Cards (Americas) role leads the Commercial Cards team within Global Payments Solutions (Americas). Commercial Card products include Business Corporate Travel & Expense (T&E) Card, Purchasing Card, Lodge Card, and Virtual Cards. This is a key product in HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Business, under Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB).
The Regional Head of Commercial Cards (Americas) will oversee product design, development and delivery activities to support growth of the Commercial Cards business within Americas (US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil) as well as supporting broader global growth across the global commercial cards business. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining robust risk management and controls alongside Business As Usual (BAU) product management.
Responsibilities
Support the drive of customer growth, achieving Fee, Revenue & Pricing (FPR) committed growth targets and maximising the products’ financial contribution
Management of direct costs across the business and collaborating with key areas managing indirect costs to drive for efficiency
Oversee the execution of key strategic business initiatives and change management programmes
Attract talented resources and utilize effectively
Develop the product strategy for Commercial Cards in Americas working closely with the Global Head of Commercial Cards and GPS Country Heads across the region
Ensure focus on innovative and digital based solutions (virtual and mobile); continually exploring new opportunities for customer experience improvements and new payment flows
Ensure adherence to governance and compliance requirements
Drive a customer focussed environment built on globally consistent and market leading propositions
Support the development of commercialisation and account management strategies to enhance profitability, deepen penetration and optimisation/demise of unprofitable activities
Provide support to other teams as required to ensure the ongoing success of Americas and Global Commercial Cards
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Operations, Service, CIB Coverage, Risk, Compliance and Legal as well as key third parties such as Mastercard and VISA
Ensure that the Product team is responsive to the requirements and expectations of customers and the Global Businesses and promote Commercial Cards products, propositions, strategies and initiatives
Identify and manage key partnerships that can complement our services to improve customer experience and drive revenue
Maintain a robust and efficient control environment across Commercial Cards to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution of emerging risks and issues
Qualifications
Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. Banking Product Management and Product Development at a senior level
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. A senior Commercial Cards role
Relevant market knowledge of Commercial Cards in the region
Proven experience of leading the delivery of excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers
A track record of delivery and successfully implementing change
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others\' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
