Communications Specialist
Mindful Therapy Group, Mountlake Terrace, Washington, United States, 98043
Description
Mindful Therapy Group is a mental health organization providing business-to-business support services to independent therapy and psychiatric private practices. We simplify complex administrative processes - lead generation, marketing, billing, and revenue collection - so providers can focus on delivering high-quality care.
For more than 15 years, we’ve built the MTG brand by navigating the complexities of healthcare with creativity, rigor, and a deep commitment to improving access to mental health care.
About The Role We’re looking for a Communications Specialist who understands that how you communicate matters just as much as what you communicate.
This Role Supports
Event communications & marketing (ongoing + ad-hoc)
Corporate communications
Internal staff communications
External communications to providers
There is strong structure already in place, so you’ll be able to get up to speed quickly. What we’re looking for is someone who brings judgment, creativity, and problem-solving to adapt messaging based on audience, tone, and intent.
If you’re energized by complexity, fast timelines, and meaningful work in healthcare, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Plan and execute communications for events, seminars, town halls, newsletters, and company announcements
Own end-to-end event communications (promotion, reminders, follow-ups) to drive sign-ups and attendance
Create clear, engaging written communications across email, SMS, newsletters, and internal updates
Support executive and leadership communications as needed
Maintain and evolve a centralized communications resource library
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Recruiting, and Leadership
Help drive employee engagement initiatives, including recognition and internal campaigns
Create and distribute monthly provider newsletters
Track engagement and effectiveness of communications and continuously improve over time
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience in corporate or organizational communications
Excellent writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for tone, clarity, and audience
Ability to adapt messaging for different stakeholders (staff, providers, clients, leadership)
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Experience with different email platforms and SMS best practices (segmentation, timing, deliverability)
Sound judgment when handling sensitive or high-stakes communications
Familiarity with healthcare or regulated environments is a plus (not required)
Who You Are
Thoughtful, intentional communicator
Organized, accountable, and proactive
Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly
Calm under pressure and confident owning your work
Collaborative and team-oriented
Energized by meaningful work that supports access to mental health care
Why Join Mindful Therapy Group?
Mission-driven work with real impact
Strong leadership support and clear expectations
Opportunity to shape how a growing organization communicates
Collaborative, feedback-driven culture
In-person team environment that values connection and learning
