Position Overview
A leading specialty site-work contractor is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Superintendent to support industrial, solar, and wind energy construction projects. Projects are primarily located throughout the Midwest and Central United States. The ideal candidate is a safety-driven leader who delivers quality workmanship with professionalism and integrity. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and perform civil construction activities including site grading, road and drainage improvements, dewatering, soil correction, foundation excavation/backfill, utilities, and other site-related scopes for industrial, solar, and wind projects. Coordinate daily operations and work sequencing with subcontractors to ensure accurate execution of plans, adherence to specifications, and on-time project delivery. Conduct regular inspections to verify that work meets quality standards and aligns with project schedules; maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager and General Superintendent. Lead and manage field teams ranging from 5 to 25 crew members, including operators and laborers. Assist the Project Manager with material procurement, scheduling, documentation, and project controls. Enforce safety policies and ensure all personnel comply with project and company safety requirements. Travel is required for this position. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction. Proven ability to lead teams effectively in challenging and fast-paced environments. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple operations and adjust to shifting project needs. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. High level of dependability, initiative, and follow-through.
