The Global Mobility US Permanent Residence Specialist is the subject matter expert for US employment-based permanent residence (green card) processes. This role provides consultative guidance to managers, HR partners, and employees on policy and process, manages the lifecycle of green card cases, and serves as a liaison with the company's external immigration vendor and outside counsel. The Specialist ensures compliance with internal policy and US government requirements, and delivers consistent, high-quality end-to-end experience for candidates and employees. The responsibilities of this role include: Advising managers and stakeholders on eligibility, strategy, timing, responsibilities, costs, and company policy for employment-based permanent residence (PERM, I-140, adjustment of status). Managing the end-to-end green card case lifecycle for assigned population, including consultation, assessment, case tracking, documentation collection, filing coordination, and finalization. Acting as primary day-to-day contact for the external immigration vendor and coordinate with outside counsel as needed; set expectations, monitor deliverables, and escalate issues. Maintaining and updating case tracking and ticketing systems timely. Developing and maintaining internal documentation, and standard operating procedures related to US permanent residence processes. Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, working with legal counsel to address compliance or complex issues. Supporting compliance activities including document signature and physical postings. Supporting audits and data requests related to immigration records and maintaining confidential records in accordance with privacy and retention policies. Participating in cross-functional projects (Total Rewards, Global Mobility) to ensure immigration-related initiatives are solutioned. To be successful in this role, you should have: 1-3 years of direct experience managing US employment-based permanent residence processes in a corporate global mobility, HR, or immigration vendor/firm setting. Applied knowledge of US visas, and working knowledge of DOL and USCIS rules and timelines. Experience coordinating with external immigration vendors and/or outside counsel; proven vendor-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical immigration concepts to non-experts and draft clear guidance. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with case management systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools. Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, business, legal studies, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred qualifications: Prior experience in a global tech company with multi-state US operations. Experience with HRIS and/or technology platforms (SharePoint, case management). Project management experience and process-improvement orientation. Competencies and behaviors: Customer-service mindset and ability to build credibility with managers and employees. Proactive problem solver who can prioritize competing deadlines. Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with HR, legal, finance, and external partners. The targeted combined range for this position is 69,800 -152,300 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
