
Inside Wholesale Account Executive (Mortgage Lending)

Position Summary The Inside Wholesale Account Executive (AE) is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with independent mortgage brokers by promoting the company’s wholesale lending products and services. This is a
business-to-business (B2B) sales role
focused on broker acquisition, pipeline development, and loan scenario consultation—not consumer lending or direct borrower solicitation.
The AE serves as a trusted resource to broker partners by providing product education, pricing guidance, and eligibility support to help brokers structure loans that meet program guidelines and borrower needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Proactively solicit and onboard new mortgage broker relationships via outbound phone calls, email, and virtual meetings
Develop and manage a pipeline of active broker partners within an assigned territory or account list
Promote wholesale loan products including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and specialty programs
Execute call campaigns, follow-ups, and account touchpoints to drive consistent loan submissions
Broker Support & Scenario Review
Review loan scenarios submitted by brokers to determine
program eligibility , general guideline alignment, and product fit
Provide non-underwriting guidance on program requirements, documentation expectations, and pricing structures
Collaborate with operations, underwriting, and secondary teams to support smooth loan flow from submission to closing
Educate brokers on guideline updates, overlays, policy changes, and product enhancements
Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned broker accounts
Build long-term partnerships through responsiveness, accuracy, and consultative sales approach
Identify opportunities to expand wallet share within existing broker relationships
Resolve broker issues or escalate appropriately to ensure service standards are met
Compliance & Reporting
Conduct all activities in compliance with federal, state, and company mortgage lending regulations
Maintain accurate CRM records, call logs, and pipeline data
Meet or exceed performance expectations for call volume, broker engagement, submissions, and funded loan volume
Qualifications Required
2+ years of experience in wholesale mortgage lending, inside sales, or mortgage account management
Strong understanding of residential mortgage products and eligibility guidelines
Proven ability to prospect, solicit, and manage B2B relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with CRM systems and mortgage technology platforms
Preferred
Prior Inside AE or Broker Account Executive experience
Familiarity with wholesale pricing engines, LOS systems, and guideline resources
NMLS license (or ability to obtain, if required by role/company)
