Gender Freedom Society is a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit based virtually in the United States. We are dedicated to educating and supporting the transgender community while striving to normalize transgender existence within broader society. Through educational platforms, outreach efforts, and moderated social media, we cultivate a culture where transgender rights are respected, and gender diversity is celebrated as vital to human identity. Everyday our team of global volunteers comes together in an effort to make this world a better place for the Trans/GNC community. The Podcast Editor is responsible for editing and post-producing audio content for the organization\'s podcast. The Podcast Editor will work closely with the Podcast Producer and other team members to ensure that episodes meet the organization\'s standards for quality and are delivered on time. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of audio production and editing, and experience working with a variety of audio formats.
Responsibilities
Edit and post-produce audio content for the organization\'s podcast
Work closely with the Podcast Producer and other team members to ensure that episodes meet the organization\'s standards for quality and are delivered on time
Ensure that audio is properly balanced, equalized, and that any background noise is removed
Add music, sound effects, and other audio elements as needed
Collaborate with the Podcast Producer and other team members to ensure that the podcast meets the creative vision
Export and deliver final audio files to the appropriate team members
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field such as audio production or film production
2+ years of experience in audio editing
Strong understanding of audio production and editing software such as Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or Logic Pro
Strong understanding of podcasting trends and technologies
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong organizational and project management skills
Experience working with a variety of audio formats
