About the role We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Sales to lead capital-raising efforts for a pre-revenue startup. This executive will be responsible for building, managing, and leading a team of fundraisers while driving investor engagement and capital formation. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in fundraising, sales leadership, and relationship management, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What you\'ll do
Lead and manage a team of fundraisers focused on raising capital from accredited investors and strategic partners
Develop and execute the company’s capital-raising strategy to support growth objectives
Build, maintain, and expand relationships with investors, family offices, and strategic stakeholders
Oversee the full fundraising lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing
Establish sales processes, performance metrics, and accountability across the fundraising team
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align fundraising goals with company strategy
Represent the company at investor meetings, conferences, and events
Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on fundraising pipeline and performance
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales leadership, capital raising, or investment-related roles
Demonstrated success leading sales or fundraising teams
Strong investor-facing communication and relationship-building skills
Experience working in startup or pre-revenue environments preferred
Ability to operate independently while building scalable processes
High integrity, professionalism, and strategic mindset
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Performance-based bonus tied to capital raised and team performance
