BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION: The P RI RELIABILITY & RESILIENCE STRATEGY Department of the P ASSET PLANNING & STRATEGY Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 management vacancy available. (Role: Professional) Responsibilities

Job Function: Leads efforts to measure, assess, develop, and update strategies, priorities, and work plans to improve electric transmission and distribution (T&D) system reliability for all three operating areas (O‘ahu, Maui County, and Hawai‘i Island). Work Plan Development, Prioritization, and Management: Lead efforts to develop multi-year work plans and priorities for projects and programs to enhance reliability, including determining reliability improvement project/program cost, value, sequencing/timing, and priority as well as ongoing work plan monitoring, management, updates, and cost/benefit tracking. Reliability System Analyses: Lead efforts for analyzing past outages and determine strategies to mitigate or lessen future events; assist operating areas with requests for engineering assistance for all T&D system reliability matters and determine solutions to requests. Reliability Strategy Development: Lead efforts to develop/update reliability strategies to reduce the frequency and duration of electric service interruptions; assess reliability performance and risk, establish goals, identify improvement options, analyze/model solutions, determine optimal cost/benefit approaches, and obtain necessary approvals; support assessment, development, and refinement of reliability PIMs/PBR metrics. Reliability Reporting: Lead efforts to provide timely, accurate, and consistent reliability metric reports, forecasts, and filings; develop, refine, and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual metric calculations and reports for internal stakeholders, website updates, and Hawaii Public Utilities Commission submittals; enhance automation, validation/cross-checks, and accessibility of reliability data. Industry Knowledge and Leading Practices: stay abreast of industry developments and leading practices related to reliability; participate and represent Hawaiian Electric on industry committees/task forces to identify and address issues and opportunities. General Support and Improvement: support department and division in developing systems, processes, procedures, methods, or other means to facilitate smooth functioning; as assigned, fill in for the department manager. Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned, including preparation for such emergency response. Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering, math, science, or science-related major from an accredited school or college is highly desirable. Master's degree desirable, preferably in business administration (MBA) from an accredited school or college. Thorough understanding of: Electric power system reliability; Electric power supply, transmission, and distribution systems and components; Electric power system operation; Utility information systems; Probability, statistics, and risk; Utility financial and accounting principles; Utility regulation. General understanding of: Electric power system resilience; Electric power system inspection and maintenance; Utility/Infrastructure asset management. Skills Requirements Critical Thinking and Decision Making: ability to understand and define problems, analyze information, evaluate options, and make sound decisions; comfortable with complexity and uncertainty; skilled in structured problem-solving tools. Analytical: ability to create and interpret trends, models, forecasts, and simulations. Computer Applications: proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; experience with ERP/EAM, IRR, GIS. Communication: written, oral, and listening skills; ability to articulate ideas clearly. Presentation: ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations to small and large groups. Project/Program Management: ability to plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to achieve objectives within scope, schedule, and budget. Teamwork: ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to decision-making. Conflict Resolution: ability to resolve conflicts through communication and problem-solving. Negotiation: ability to develop alternatives to reach agreements. Personal: ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage time and multiple tasks while adapting to changing priorities. Interpersonal: ability to relate to others and develop effective give-and-take relationships. Experience Requirements Extensive (8+ years) of related work experience or demonstrated ability, preferably within the electric utilities industry. PMP certification is desirable. Logistics
