Brighton Resort is looking for
fun, energetic, and reliable Outside Ticket Checkers
to join our team for the upcoming winter season! As one of the first team members our guests encounter, you’ll set the tone for their day on the mountain. Stationed at lift access points, you’ll help ensure tickets and passes scan smoothly, keep lines moving, and spread positive energy to everyone heading uphill.
This role is essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring efficient lift access, and maintaining safety and security standards. As a visible ambassador of Brighton Resort, you’ll balance guest service with operational efficiency—all while working outdoors in every kind of mountain weather.

Responsibilities
Welcoming Mountain Ambassador: Greet guests warmly at lift access points; create excitement and positive energy for their skiing and riding experience; represent Brighton’s approachable, friendly culture authentically.
Efficiency Under Pressure: Process guests quickly during peak times without losing friendliness; maintain pace during holiday mornings and powder days; stay calm, organized, and professional when lines build.
Safety & Security Focus: Ensure only valid pass/ticket holders access the mountain; identify and address fraudulent or invalid tickets; remain alert to safety protocols and emergency procedures; adhere to uniform standards.
Weather Resilience: Maintain a positive, professional attitude in all weather conditions; stay engaged and focused during cold, windy, or long shifts; dress appropriately and prepare for sustained outdoor work.
Guest Problem-Solving: Assist guests with scanning issues patiently and respectfully; provide clear directions to resort facilities (restrooms, rentals, food services); handle guest concerns with empathy and solution-focused communication.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Positive and energetic under pressure and in cold weather
Willingness to work outdoors for long periods in variable conditions
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly when needed
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Intermediate or advanced skiing or snowboarding ability
Commitment to guest service and safety awareness
Ability to stay attentive and focused without distraction
Willingness to work with teammates from diverse backgrounds
Availability for at least four shifts per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Reliable transportation to and from the resort in winter conditions
Passion for the outdoors
Preferred But Not Required
Previous guest service or outdoor recreation experience
Familiarity with ski resort operations
