WHLR is seeking to add a Corporate Paralegal to our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude about the company with coworkers, tenants, clients and the public whether contact is by email, telephone or in person.
SALARY RANGE: $60,000-$70,000. Responsibilities
Maintain organized files for each transaction, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible. Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K. Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements. Support in the preparation and coordination of board and committee meetings, including drafting agendas, resolutions and minutes. Conduct legal research and provide support on various corporate and securities law matters. Liaise with external counsel and regulatory agencies as needed. Stay current on real estate law and procedures to provide accurate and up-to-date advice. Use strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring each is handled efficiently and accurately. Maintain the litigation tracking system and communication to executives. Review and assess legal invoices. Experience, Requirements and Core Competencies
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multi-task, work on several projects across multiple departments, and build internal and external relationships. Strong knowledge of corporate governance and securities law. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in file management. Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research and analysis. High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in paralegal, real estate or related field required. Minimum 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal, preferably in a public company or law firm.
