Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions & Recruiting Xavier University is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions to join the Office of the Graduate School. This role provides an opportunity to support prospective graduate students from initial inquiry through their first enrollment, ensuring a clear, supportive, and welcoming admissions experience. Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions

plays a vital part in advancing this mission by supporting access to graduate education, fostering strong collaborative relationships with faculty within academic programs, and guiding prospective students through the recruitment and admissions process. Working in a collaborative, student-focused environment, the successful candidate will help support enrollment efforts across assigned graduate programs while strengthening campus services and contributing to a community where all members can learn, grow, and succeed.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and admitted graduate students, providing accurate and timely information about programs, application requirements, and enrollment steps.

Implement recruitment activities and outreach efforts in collaboration with graduate program directors and Graduate School leadership.

Manage and track graduate applications and recruitment activity using Slate CRM, including coordinating application materials and monitoring application progress.

Conduct in-person, phone, and virtual appointments, and represent Xavier at local, regional, and national recruitment events.

Support the admissions decision process through collaboration with faculty in reviewing application materials, interviewing candidates as appropriate, and providing input to academic programs.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in higher education or a related field.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Capability to learn new software and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Experience in graduate recruitment or admissions.

Experience working with CRM systems, such as Slate.
