Salary Range $18.50 - $23.13 Hourly Level Entry Position Type Seasonal Description
Summary: The Nature Camp Director will direct our variety nature camp, where each week has a new theme. The Director will be responsible for implementation of a camp curricula and overall operation of camp. The Camp Director must coordinate daily activities, enforce policies and procedures, provide administrative assistance, assist with bus coordinating, contribute to camp newsletters, and serve as direct contact for parents throughout the week. This is an 8-week position from June 8th through July 31st. Qualifications
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be 18 years of age or older. One to three months of related experience working with youth in a recreational camp setting is required. Experience supervising staff and/or directing daily work tasks is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to candidates who are 21+ with a valid driver's license, as this role may include driving a minibus for camper transportation. Must display a positive and energetic attitude when working with campers. Must be comfortable entering the water (pool or lake) for recreational swim time with campers. Classification: Seasonal, non-exempt Wage Range: $18.50-$23.13 an hour, depending on experience. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to outside weather conditions including hot and humid weather and cold and rainy weather.
