
Foreign Exchange Sales Analyst

Overview
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FX Sales Analyst to join our dynamic Foreign Exchange team. This is a developmental analyst position designed to build foundational FX sales and operations expertise with a pathway to client-facing sales roles. The analyst will support the Corporate FX Sales team (nine salespeople) with operational tasks, client service coordination, and sales support while developing the skills necessary for a career in Corporate FX sales. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a team-first mentality. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco with a significant in-office presence required for collaboration and training. Travel (10-20% of the time) may be required for client events and team activities. This is a developmental analyst position designed to build foundational FX sales and operations expertise. Analysts who demonstrate strong performance may have the opportunity to transition into client-facing sales roles, though advancement is dependent on performance, readiness, and business needs. Responsibilities
Learning and Sales Development: Shadow senior salespeople on client calls and meetings to develop sales acumen and client relationship skills Develop foundational knowledge of FX products, pricing, and risk management through on-the-job training Build relationships with internal partners across Product, Trading, Credit, and Operations Gradually expand responsibilities and client-facing activities based on performance and readiness Participate in client discovery conversations to understand business needs and FX opportunities Sales Support: Assist senior salespeople with preparation for client meetings (materials, research, logistics) Support planning and execution of client events (logistics, invitations, budget tracking) Gather market intelligence and competitive data to support sales strategy Prepare presentation materials and client-facing documents as needed Assist with CRM hygiene and data management (call reports, opportunity tracking, contact updates) Client Service Coordination: Respond to routine client inquiries regarding trade status, payment tracking, and account services Coordinate with internal partners (Product, Credit, Operations) to gather information for client requests Support relationship management activities for assigned client segments Operational Support: Investigate and resolve payment issues, including wire tracking, trade confirmations, and settlement exceptions Execute buybacks, amendments, and trade corrections under supervision Serve as primary liaison between Sales and Middle Office/Operations teams to expedite issue resolution Support trade booking and transaction workflow when senior salespeople are unavailable or out of office Monitor and assist with compliance requirements for client transactions Strategic Project Participation: Contribute to team-wide sales initiatives and campaigns Assist with data analysis and reporting for sales performance tracking Participate in cross-functional projects as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Team-first attitude and willingness to handle operational tasks Proactive mindset with a "bias toward action" Interest in developing sales and client relationship skills Basic understanding of financial markets and foreign exchange concepts Familiarity with Bloomberg or other financial analysis tools Prior experience in banking operations or client service roles Demonstrated interest in capital markets or institutional sales The base pay for this position is generally between $53.84/hr and $71.63/hr. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
