Role Summary The Senior Financial Analyst – Correspondent Channel is responsible for forecasting, performance analytics, pricing impacts, investor execution modeling, and financial reporting for the correspondent acquisition channel. This role partners closely with Secondary, Capital Markets, Finance, and Correspondent Operations to evaluate loan acquisition economics, delivery execution, loan-level purchase margins, and correspondent seller profitability. Key Responsibilities Build and manage detailed channel P&L models, including margin, pull-through, pricing adjustments, and investor delivery impacts. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts tied to volume, funding mix (bulk vs. Delegated vs. Non-Delegated), and delivery execution assumptions. Analyze bid/ask pricing, Servicing release premium grids, and impacts of credit/loan attributes on investor economics. Partner with Capital Markets to evaluate best-execution delivery strategies. Provide analytics on correspondent seller trends: volume mix, delinquency trends, repeat business, and profitability. Support product expansion pricing including Non-QM. Build financial cost models integrating underwriting expense, technology fees, QC overhead, fulfillment SLAs, and incentive compensation metrics. Develop reporting for investor profitability, lock-to-purchase cycle time, fallout rates, and loan repurchase reserve requirements. Support performance metrics and dashboards to drive seller segmentation strategy (top-tier vs. opportunistic sellers). Develop monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting and executive decks, including channel P&L performance, actual vs. forecast and budget variance analysis, margin and volume analytics, and key operational metrics tied to efficiency, revenue drivers, and overall channel health. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 4–7 years of mortgage finance experience with knowledge of correspondent delivery mechanics preferable. Must understand SRP pricing, bulk bidding, LLPA impacts, and MSR valuation basics. Advanced Excel and strong SQL and/or Tableau/Power BI skills required. Experience working with loan data fields, investor pricing engines, and loan acquisition financials. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
