
Overview
Position Summary: As a Marketing Fellow at Seaside Sustainability, you will play a pivotal leadership role, overseeing sub-teams within your assigned department and driving successful execution of projects and initiatives. You will guide, mentor, and support Department Managers while ensuring alignment with Seaside Sustainability’s mission and objectives. This role offers an opportunity to develop leadership, strategic project management, and contribute to sustainability efforts. Leadership & Oversight:
Lead and support Department Managers across marketing sub-teams, fostering clear communication, collaboration, and accountability. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and ensure consistency in brand voice, creative direction, and marketing strategy across sub-teams. Strategic Project Management:
Oversee planning, execution, and completion of marketing projects across sub-teams. Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and resources; identify workflow gaps and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. Mentorship & Development:
Provide guidance and mentorship to Department Managers, track marketing performance metrics, and support reporting on key performance indicators. Reporting & Communication:
Maintain regular communication with senior leadership, including Advisors, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and key achievements. Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments to set department-wide goals, contribute to strategic planning for marketing campaigns, outreach, and brand development, and support stakeholder engagement. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
Address challenges across sub-teams, escalate critical issues appropriately, and maintain momentum on deliverables. Content, Media & Platform Oversight:
Provide direction for content creation, community engagement, and multimedia initiatives; oversee podcast/video planning and promotional strategies; ensure data-informed decision-making. Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, digital media, sustainability, or related field, or equivalent hands-on marketing experience. Experience leading or coordinating marketing initiatives, campaigns, or content teams in supervision or strategic roles. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with experience managing multiple projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to motivate teams and collaborate across departments. Experience with marketing, collaboration, and project management tools (e.g., Google Workspace, analytics dashboards, task management platforms). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced marketing environment. Proactive mindset to propose new campaigns, optimize processes, and expand brand reach. Attention to detail and ability to ensure brand consistency and timely delivery of marketing assets. This is a remote internship position; interns work from home offices globally. Access to a computer, tablet, or mobile device with internet; ability to attend meetings and communicate effectively. Interns are expected to commit at least fifteen hours per week and meet weekly deadlines set by supervisors. Duration & Compensation
