Role Summary

The Regional Associate Director (RAD) manages a regional team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) trained in Cardiovascular diseases. The RAD ensures disease- and product-related medical needs in the region are identified and addressed, and that MSLs engage with Thought Leaders and Health Care Providers to discuss safe and appropriate use of approved products. The RAD translates field medical objectives into regional performance goals, leads cross-functional collaboration, and supports medical strategies, training, and performance development within compliance. Responsibilities

Participates in Field Medical Leadership meetings; communicates clear direction to the team; enables execution of Medical strategies, objectives and field activities; translates FM objectives into individual performance objectives for the region and MSLs; monitors performance against expectations. Develops effective working relationships with Medical, Marketing, and Sales; directs MSL activities within legal and compliance policies; provides input into MSL resource needs and strategic feedback to other functions; supports the commercial matrix as aligned with the medical plan objectives. Maintains contact with regional HCP experts to gather insights on treatments and disease area; supports MSLs in identifying and developing networks with external experts; provides training for planning and conducting scientific interactions aligned with the safe and appropriate use of BMS medicines; ensures MSLs engage in timely, informative interactions and communicate medical information accurately and objectively. Oversees MSL support for CRO-sponsored studies and BMS-sponsored interventional and non-interventional research; identifies potential study sites; facilitates patient recruitment and discussions on safe/use of investigational products; ensures collaboration with the clinical organization to enhance patient enrolment and site feasibility; provides insights to the clinical development team on study and site feasibilities. Ensures MSLs comply with pharmacovigilance documents; acts as primary liaison for investigators in investigator-sponsored research; supports ISR submission processes as needed and as agreed with home office medical and US Market Guiding Principles. Actively manages MSL performance assessments; provides ongoing coaching and development plans; ensures new hires receive training and that MSLs pursue professional development; upholds company values and compliance with Codes and FDA regulations; ensures MSLs understand adverse events identification and reporting. Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular disease area knowledge, including key scientific publications. Clinical experience in Cardiology with a broad medical background. Minimum of 5-7 years working in a clinical or pharmaceutical environment; minimum of 5 years field medical experience preferred. Leading and working in cross-functional teams and initiatives; proven track record managing multiple projects and priorities. Coaching and mentoring within a geographically disbursed field medical organization. Working in a highly matrix environment, ability to navigate and lead in an ambiguous environment. Leading and executing autonomously. Understanding of clinical research principles. Understanding of the US healthcare system, the pharmaceutical industry and clinical and health economic practices in the US. Ability to work independently. Travel required, including frequent travel to PPK home office. Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate in spoken and written word. Education

Terminal doctoral degree, MD, PharmD, or PhD, preferred. Additional Requirements

Position is field based; RAD will be required to live in the territory which they manage or within 50 miles of the border. Travel required, including frequent travel to PPK home office.
