As the hub for creative execution, the Marketing Coordinator showcases the CBC brand across print, digital, and experiential channels, supports donor recruitment and retention efforts, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deliver meaningful, mission-driven marketing. Job Summary JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the creative assets for the organization – from concept to implementation. The Marketing Coordinator leads the execution of campaigns and promotions for the organization to recruit, engage and inspire donors and advocate for blood donation the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Brand and Design: Showcase the CBC brand through the creation and management of print and digital content that align with brand voice and standards.
Develop impactful materials to attract, retain, educate and inspire donors.
Develop messaging for internal audiences, including CBC team members and volunteers, as well as external audiences including donors, community and hospital partners.
Perform graphic design functions for internal and external audiences, including but not limited to email and text campaigns, printed promotional and educational materials including flyers and hand-outs, digital graphics, signage and presentations.
Support the creation of messaging and materials for CBC teams including donor recruiters, contact management, donor health and product suitability, collections and lab.
Capture photography and video to meet the marketing needs of the organization.
Coordinate and manage professional outsourced graphic design, video and photography as needed.
Creative Writing
Assist with creative writing needs of the marketing department, including creation of content, including self-created, in partnership with the marketing team, or with engaging outside partners.
Applications of writing include, but not limited to blogs, website, social media, professional journals, email, text messages, event scripts, radio scripts, TV commercials, programs, profiles, stories, and newsletters.
Assist with editing and proofing all materials for the department.
Advertising and Promotional Campaigns
Responsible for the creation of advertising campaigns, both traditional and digital.
Responsible for the creation of promotions: In partnership with the marketing team, create and implement campaigns and promotions to incentivize to promote blood donation.
Supports donor CRM marketing activities, including email marketing, text messaging, and voice message communication.
Project Management
Manage high school programs materials for Gallon Grad and scholarship programs In partnership with the marketing and donor recruitment teams.
Manage Lifesaver Rewards donor loyalty program, including internal and external communication and materials, in partnership with the marketing team.
Develop and maintain programs to engage and retain donors, in partnership with the marketing team.
Work with outside vendors to fulfill print and promotional materials.
Research & Analytics
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging healthcare topics related to blood donation and transfusion.
Support the collection and analyzation of data, and implement changes based on results to ensure growth and improvement.
Identify donor demographics, habits, trends by analyzing data to improve donor recruitment strategies.
Identify which marketing and communication strategies are effective in engaging first-time blood donors, retaining current blood donors, and converting and retaining platelet donors.
Blood Drive and Recognition Events
Support the planning, promotion and execution of event blood drives, donor and coordinator appreciation events including creative assets, programming, recruiting, and event logistics.
Be present for CBC events to assist with set-up, day-of execution, take down, and other duties as needed.
Job Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, English, or Graphic Communication
5+ years of professional experience in a related field.
Experience contributing professional work within an established brand voice.
Knowledge and experience with creating content and messaging for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.)
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud. Graphic design experience is required.
Experience in managing multiple projects effectively and within set timeframes and prioritizing competing demands.
Superior creativity and attention to detail.
Graphic design skills required.
Compelling writing and sharp editing skills that span a range of platforms and diverse audiences.
Familiarity with AP writing.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication, be highly self-motivated, and able to schedule and follow-up on all actions with little direct supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all external and internal audiences.
Ability to present information in front of both internal and external audiences.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-team capacity, manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires minimal travel and some evening/weekend availability.
